Oleh itu semangat cinta akan tanah air perlu diterapkan dengan kaedah yang lebih berkesan supaya jiwa golongan remaja kembali diisi dengan semangat patriotisme yang tinggi, bak kata pepatah melentur buluh biar dari rebungnya. Jadi, program ini merupakan satu kaedah yang sesuai untuk melahirkan warga negara yang cinta akan tanah air.
Selain itu Program Latihan Khidmat Negara juga akan menerapkan semangat kepimpinan dalam kalangan remaja lepasan sekolah. Semangat kepimpinan sangat penting kerana pemimpin yang baik bakal mempengaruhi kestabilan sesebuah negara. Kepemimpinan yang baik juga dapat menjamin hasrat negara untuk menjadi sebuah negara yang maju, di samping mengekalkan nilai-nilai murni dan budaya masyarakat pelbagai kaum di negara ini. Golongan muda perlu didedahkan dengan konsep kepimpinan yang dapat menjamin kelangsungan kemerdekaan sesebuah negara. Golongan muda ialah generasi yang bakal mewarisi pentadbiran negara suatu hari nanti. Justeru, mereka perlu memiliki semangat kepimpinan bagi memenuhi keperluan kepimpinan negara pada masa hadapan.
Satu lagi kebaikan program ini ialah pemupukan semangat perpaduan dalam kalangan remaja pelbagai kaum. Seperti yang diketahui umum, perpaduan merupakan satu aset penting ke arah kemajuan negara. Perpaduan bakal menentukan iklim politik, ekonomi, sosial, dan sebagainya berada pada tahap yang selesa. Tanpa perpaduan, negara ini akan kucar-kacir dan bakal mencetuskan kekacauan. Pihak luar sudah pasti mengambil peluang daripada ketidakstabilan negara kerana bersatu kita teguh bercerai kita roboh. Isu perpaduan sangat penting dalam sesebuah negara yang mempunyai masyarakat majmuk seperti negara ini. Remaja pelbagai kaum perlu disedarkan peranan masing-masing dalam memelihara semangat perpaduan agar negara terus aman. Oleh itu, program yang membolehkan remaja pelbagai kaum bergaul sesama sendiri dilaksanakan agar semangat perpaduan terus mekar dan menjadi sebahagian daripada amalan hidup mereka.
Program Latihan Khidmat Negara akan membentuk disiplin dalam kalangan peserta iaitu golongan remaja. Program ini dikendalikan dalam bentuk separa ketenteraan serta menerapkan sebahagian cara hidup seorang anggota pasukan keselamatan. Disiplin yang agak ketat bakal membentuk masyarakat yang berwibawa dan bertanggungjawab terhadap amanah yang diberikan kepada mereka, bak kata pepatah bagaimana acuan begitulah bentuknya. Masyarakat yang memiliki disiplin yang baik, bakal mengurangkan masalah kerajaan dalam menangani gejala sosial, seperti penagihan dadah, gangsterisme, buli, peras ugut, dan sebagainya. Golongan remaja perlu diterapkan dengan disiplin yang baik kerana mereka sering terdedah kepada unsur-unsur atau pengaruh-pengaruh yang tidak sihat, Jadi, program berkenaan dapat membentuk remaja dengan disiplin yang utuh.
Program Latihan Khidmat Negara juga akan mengurangkan gejala sosial dalam kalangan remaja lepasan sekolah. Gejala sosial berlaku apabila golongan remaja menghabiskan waktu dengan cara melepak bersama-sama rakan di tempat-tempat awam. Remaja lepasan sekolah biasanya mempunyai masa terluang yang banyak sementara menanti peluang melanjutkan pelajaran atau memenuhi pasaran kerja. Oleh yang demikian, mereka memerlukan aktiviti-aktiviti yang membolehkan masa diisi dengan berfaedah sebelum mereka terjerumus ke kancah gejala sosial yang lebih parah, atau sebelum kudis menjadi tokak. Dengan adanya program ini, golongan remaja yang terpilih akan ditempatkan di kem latihan sepenuh masa selama tiga bulan. Oleh itu pergerakan mereka akan terhad di sekitar kawasan yang dikhususkan kepada mereka. Mereka tidak dibenarkan keluar dan menghabiskan masa di luar tanpa tujuan. Hasilnya, gejala sosial dapat dibendung dengan jayanya jika golongan remaja menyertai program berkenaan.
Tambahan pula program ini mendedahkan golongan remaja kepada kerja-kerja yang bercorak kebajikan. Golongan remaja masa kini biasanya hidup dalam keadaan mewah dan hanya mementingkan gaya hidup yang bebas. Mereka jarang diajak untuk menabur bakti dengan melakukan kerja-kerja kebajikan. Dalam program ini model khidmat masyarakat yang melibatkan kerja-kerja kebajikan diperkenalkan supaya peserta dalam memberikan sumbangan ke arah melahirkan masyarakat penyayang. Mereka dihantar untuk bekerja membersihkan kawasan perumahan, rumah-rumah kebajikan, rumah anak yatim, dan sebagainya. Dengan cara ini golongan remaja akan menjadikan kerja-kerja kebajikan sebagai sesuatu yang boleh dilakukan sepanjang masa dan bukan pada masa-masa tertentu sahaja.
Kesimpulannya, Program Latihan Khidmat negara mendatangkan pelbagai manfaat kepada golongan remaja. Oleh itu semua pihak tidak perlu mempertikaikan kewajaran pelaksanaan program berkenaan. Pada era globalisasi ini , pencapaian yang cemerlang dan seimbang dalam bidang akademik serta kokurikulum oleh anak anak merupakan harapan ibu bapa sebagai langkah untuk menjamin masa depan anak-anak yang cerah . Hal ini menyebabkan ramai anak yang mengalami tekanan kerana ingin memuaskan kehendak ibu bapa mereka .Oleh itu , remaja yang terlibat dalam masalah disiplin ibarat cendawan tumbuh selepas hujan .Hal ini menyebabkan remaja mencari jalan untuk menghilangkan stress. Contohnya, membuli , merokok dan berlumba haram. Akhirnya , masalah disiplin pelajar menjadi lebih serius dan mereka terjebak ke dalam kancah kebinasaan .Oleh itu , pelajar harus belajar untuk menjadi disiplin kerana disiplin asas kejayaan .
Sebagaimana yang kita tahu, seseorang yang mempunyai disiplin diri dapat membina jati diri .Remaja sekarang mempunyai jati diri yang lemah .Hal ini disebabkan oleh pengaruh media massa dan pengaruh kawan yang kuat. Kesannya , remaja tidak berminat dalam pelajaran kerana terlalu berminat dalam pelajaran dan menumpukkan perhatian dan masa kepada media massa atau kawan . Sekolah harus mengadakan kelas intensif untuk membantu pelajar yang lemah dan membaiki kelemahan pelajar. Dengan itu , pencapaian akademik pelajar akan meningkat . Apabila pemikiran pelajar menjadi matang , jati diri pelajar akan turut meningkat .
Selain itu , sikap disiplin dalam seseorang dapat meningkatkan kesedaran remaja dalam pelbagai perkara .Remaja kini tidak menyedari kepentingan akademik dan suka hidup dalam mimpi .Mereka suka melepak ,merokok dan hidup dalam alam fantasi mereka .Akhirnya , mereka lupa daratan dan hilang arah tuju.Oleh itu, para guru disiplin sekolah harus sentiasa tegas dalam mengatasi masalah disiplin pelajar dan menguatkuasakan peraturan sekolah sebelum nasi menjadi bubur. Sebuah sekolah yang berada dalam keadaan yang erkawal akan dapat melahirkan tempat yang kondusif kepada pelajar-pelajar .
Seterusnya , disiplin yang ada pada seseorang remaja dapat menetapkan masa depan seorang remaja .Remaja alaf baharu ini mudah hilang arah tujuan kerna mereka tiada motivasi diri .Contohnya , mereka tidak membuat jadual belajar dan mereka malas untuk berusaha . Oleh itu , guru sekolah harus mendidik murid untuk menjadi disiplin .Dengan teknik pembelajaran yang disiplin . remaja dapat mengetahui perkara yang sedang dibuatnya dengan jelas dan tahu mencari cara untuk memajukan diri mereka .Dengan itu , remaja akan menghargai masa dan mereka akan sentiasa melakukan aktiviti yang berfaedah .

Budaya Punk dan Barat dipraktikkan dalam kehidupan mereka.Contohnya , mereka mewarnakan rambut dan berseluar ketat . Pepatah Melayu pernah mengatakan melentur buluh biarlah dari rebungya ,ibu bapa harus menunjukkan cara berpakaian yang kemas dan menjadi suri telada kepada anak sejak kecil kerana bagaimana acuan begitulah kuihnya.Sebagaimana yang kita tahu , anak-anak yang dididik dengan baik dari rumah sentiasa mempunyai sikap disiplin dan perkara-perkara yang dilakukan oleh mereka tidak menconteng arang di muka ibu bapa.

The bottom line: Although AVG has flagged a little in the past few years, AVG Internet Security 2011 breathes some new life into one of the most popular security programs around with a shorter install, better usability, and faster scans.

AVG's toolbar is still an opt-out feature. It also will commandeer your default search engine for Yahoo, so if you don't want it to do that, you'll have to uncheck the box that changes your search engine, too. Also unchanged is registration, which is a free process and can be completed from within the AVG interface.
Users who opt out of installing the toolbar but want it later will need to rerun the installer to get that component.
Interface
The changes to AVG's interface in the 2011 version are minor but actually improve usability quite a bit. The top and left navigation sections have been redecorated with light text on a dark background, although the main controls in the center of the window retain their standard black text on a white background. The safety status icon at the top of the interface has been simplified and made larger.

Drag it to adjust how big of a burden the scan will be on your system, including the default setting for taking more resources only when your system is idle. If a scan is scheduled to begin while the computer is in use, it will automatically restrict the scan so that it runs slower but doesn't interfere with the computer's other tasks. When it detects the computer idling, it will then allocate more power to the scan. The feature comes with a slider so you can customize how sensitive it is.
Another big improvement has been to AVG LinkScanner. LinkScanner, which comes with AVG Free but is also available as a separate download, now scans links posted on Facebook and MySpace. It adds a green check next to safe links, a red X next to unsafe ones, and adds a notice below the link stating that it's been evaluated by AVG.
Concurrent with this new release, AVG has opened a new Web site called Threat Labs. The site is designed as a click-through landing page for people who want to learn more about the LinkScanner's ratings, but it's also available directly so that non-LinkScanner users can evaluate links on the fly.
There's a new desktop gadget for Windows Vista and Windows 7 users that lets them initiate scans and updates with one click, without having to open the full interface. It also contains links to AVG's Twitter and Facebook pages, which the company uses to bolster its support for the free version.
It's potentially big news that AVG Free has made the threat detection engines in the free version identical to its premium-upgrade siblings. This means that AVG Free users won't have to worry about getting a lesser standard of basic security, if it winds up improving the level of security. Independent benchmarks of last year's AVG versions were strong but mixed, scoring highly but not always consistently.
The PC Analyzer option is new this year, and scans your system for Registry and disk errors. It includes a disk defragmenter and a broken-shortcut cleaner, as well. To make repairs, you must download the separate PC Analyzer tool once the scan is completed. Other premium features available in AVG Internet Security 2011 include a firewall, identity protection, online shields for guarding against malicious file downloading and link scanning in instant messages, a spam blocker, priority software updates to new versions of AVG, and 24 hours a day, seven days a week telephone support for installing, repairing, and troubleshooting your PC. The download scan is notable for looking at all ports, not just port 80, when checking files sent via instant message.

AVG claims the scans in the new versions of AVG are three times faster than last year's, and its system performance impact turned out to be about average, once the computer had finished booting. CNET Labs' benchmarks found that AVG Internet Security 2011 had the greatest impact on computer boot time of any security suite we've looked at so far this year, slowing our test computer's start-up by more than 14 seconds. It also impacted computer shutdown time by five seconds. AVG Internet Security did have one of the fastest scan times we've seen yet for 2011 suites, averaging 480 seconds for its first scan.
AVG claims the scans in the new versions of AVG are three times faster than last year's, and its system performance impact turned out to be about average, once the computer had finished booting. CNET Labs' benchmarks found that AVG Internet Security 2011 had the greatest impact on computer boot time of any security suite we've looked at so far this year, slowing our test computer's start-up by more than 14 seconds. It also impacted computer shutdown time by five seconds. AVG Internet Security did have one of the fastest scan times we've seen yet for 2011 suites, averaging 480 seconds for its first scan.

In our other tests, it was a bit slower than the median. MS Office performance and Cinebench results were slightly below average, whereas iTunes decoding and media multitasking were slightly faster than average. Overall, you're looking at a much slower start-up, fast scans, a minimal impact on shutdown, and a midrange hit to general system performance.
It's harder to judge the efficacy of AVG Internet Security 2011 because independent tests are only available for the previous years' editions. In the AV-Test.org test on Windows 7 from the second quarter of 2010, AVG Internet Security 9 (version 2010) scored 14.5 out of 18 overall. Other competitors scored higher, although AVG did earn a 5.5 rating out of 6 in Protection. (It scored a 4 in Repair and a 5 in Usability.) Norton, G-Data Internet Security 2010, and Panda Internet Security 2010 were the only suites to score that high in the Protection category.
With AVG Anti-Virus 9 (version 2010), AV-Comparatives.org found that it could have performed better. In the August 2010 On-demand Detection of Malicious Software test, AVG only earned the rank of Advanced, not Advanced+, with many false positives found, an average scanning speed, and a detection rate of 98.3 percent. The same test from February 2010 saw AVG earn the same rank, with few false positives, an average scanning speed, and a detection rate of 94.2 percent.
For what it's worth, Dennis Technology Labs, a member of the Anti-Malware Testing Standards Organisation (AMTSO), found in August 2010 that AVG Anti-Virus Free 9 (version 2010) earned an overall protection score of 45 (PDF), below average.
It is AVG's hope that changes to the detection engine this year will improve its scores, but for right now it's hard to give it the highest rating possible. Still, the efficacy scores are similar to AVG's benchmarks: strong in some tests, weaker in others, but with indications that there have been big gains made this year.
Conclusion
AVG Internet Security 2011 continues to offer an excellent if not perfect level of security as it faces more intense competition from other free and paid security suite makers. Users who trust AVG Free will appreciate that the premium product does its best to make it worth your while to upgrade, but unless you're regularly in need of support and PC tuning, it's hard to justify paying when the efficacy ratings are less than stellar.
